Ganderbal, Jun 07 (KNO): A very talented graphic artist from North Kashmir has won several prestigious awards for his art and continues to win hearts with his work.
Zahoor Din a resident of Kripalpora SinghPora Pattan in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district has taken art as the medium to cope up with the stress from his personal experiences of physical assaults, humiliation, unrest and suppression in freedom of speech.
While talking with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Zahoor said he has founded Callisto art and culture group to initiate the culture of organising snow festival in India and is working to make it popular throughout the country.
Zahoor, who has pursued master’s in fine arts (applied arts) from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, is also a co-founder of creative head and Art and Culture Editor at Kashmir Patriot, a digital media start-up.
He has also worked with Delhi based graphics and designing companies like Positive Images Pvt Ltd., Iqra displays Pvt Ltd.
He was also captain of India’s first International snow sculpture team that participated in international championship-2017-2018-2019′.
“Each project is different and unique in its own way. The clients, the audience and the design combine is to create a relationship between the user and the brand. As a designer, I enjoy influencing that relationship with my strong design skills, aesthetics clarity and understanding of making principles. I learnt to balance my creative vision with the limitations of designing for multiple languages,” he said.
“From directing photoshoot to design adverts, my role within the company encompassed many areas including corporate branding, brochure production, print design and other design projects as required,” he said.
Zahoor said he has designed for several other companies, including the Positive Images and Iqra Display as well as freelance for smaller companies. “Each experience has helped me grow as a designer and as a person,” he said.
“I enjoy learning from my peers and I keep up to date with the latest methods. Aside from the usual Adobe standards like Illustrator and Photoshop, After-effect etc. I also use Corel Draw, Sketch-up, 3D Max, Cinema 4D and several web tools like Flash and more,” he said—(KNO)
