Kupwara, Mar 24 (KNO): An unidentified militant was killed as security forces claim to have foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Tangdhar Sector in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that army and police in a joint operation thwarted an infiltration attempt in the Tangdhar Sector today.
He said troops deployed along the LoC detected a suspicious movement and on being challenged at close proximity to an army post, an intense fire fight ensued, resulting in elimination of a militant.
The official said 2 AK rifles, 3 pistols and other war like stores was also recovered—(KNO)
