Militant killed in brief Handwara shootout, says police

Srinagar, Nov 11: Police on Sunday claimed to have killed a militant in a brief shootout in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

A police officer said that the militant was killed in the shootout near Bypass area of Handwara by the joint team of army, police and CRPF.

The identity of the slain is being ascertained, he said. (GNS)
