Srinagar: Body of 8 year old Seerat Jan who drowned along with his brother Mohammad Ashraf Najar, 13 on Monday was retrieved jointly by locals and police early today morning.
The brother–sister duo drowned in Viji Nallah in Sialkote area of Rafiabad in Baramulla district on Monday.
While Najar’s body was fished out last night, his sisters body could not be traced.
Reports said that the duo was trying to cross the nallah and due to sudden increase in water level both were washed away in the fast flowing water.
