Doda, May 5: Army on Tuesday morning arrested a person with arms and ammunition in Doda district of Chenab Valley here in Jammu and Kashmir.
The said person had gone missing in February this month and a formal missing report stands registered at police station Doda in this regard.
Sources told KNT that during the wee hours, army apprehended a youth identified as Tanvir Ahmed, a resident of Tantana Gundha area of Doda. Army recovered some arms and ammunition from him. Sources added that the was arrested from a deserted house.
“He is being questioned and facts are being ascertained about him,” said a police official adding that prima facie it seems the youth was working for militants. (KNT)
