Bandipora 09 Oct (KNZ):The tragic incident which took place on 06 october in Bandipora Sajid raina got the chance to encounter and get details of this whole incident.
On 6th of october a 40 year old lady working in medical department was set on fire by the Inaws in village Ahmshareef of Bandipora district.
Women belongs from Nusoo area who was married 8 year berore with lateef Ahmad Baba of Ahmshareef and they have 3 kids. She was set on fire in Ahmshareef then was referred to district hospital bandipora for treatment.It was the same hospital where the lady was working as Nurse.
The burn injuries were serious and was reffered to SMHS srinagar for special treatement after a day long battle for life she died in thw Hospital “said an official”.
The Postmortem of the lady was done in District Hospital bandipora and after that the body was handed over to relatives of Nusoo area of Bandipora.
The brother of victim Rehana ,Javid Ahmad Khan said that my sister was a religious one and i believe that she where set on fire by inlaws and i reject all the remours of hearing that she have set herself on fire. Further he added that i have the proof of it i want the police to investigate the matter and give the accused the punishment as per law.
Police officials said that all the inlaws have been called for questioning and the investigation is going on.
The Nurses of the Diatrict Hospital which where working with Rehana said that she was a religious and was very helpfull also was doing his work efficiently and friendly with the patients.One of the nurse said this incident shocked us and we pray that the accused should be punished before law.
Protests also took place in the area when the news spread that the lady have died. The protesters where demanding the arrest of the accused persons who are involved in this barbaric incident.(KNZ)
