Srinagar Aug 13 ::At least five rounds of funeral prayers were held for slain Hizb militant Irfan ul Haq at his native village in Shopian district of south Kashmir.
Witnesses said that militants appeared in the funeral in Maldara and offered him a gun salute.
The salute, they said, was offered by Adil Shiekh and Saddam Padder.
Meanwhile, thousands of people turned up for the funeral of Haq who was laid to rest amid pro-freedom and pro-Islam slogans.
At least five rounds of funeral prayers were held to accommodate thousands of people who had reached Maldara from adjoining villages.
