Stresses on uninterrupted supply of power, water, other basic amenities

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 18: Minister for Public Works Naeem Akhtar today directed the officials to ensure uninterrupted power, water and other basic amenities during the holy month of Muharram particularly in Shia inhabited areas of Ganderbal.
The Minister was speaking at a meeting held to review the arrangement for the coming month. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal and district heads of various departments.
The Minister was informed that adequate arrangements have been made for uninterrupted supply of power and water supply and other facilities like transport, health and other basic amenities are also available without delay.
The Minister took review of road conditions and directed to repair every damaged patch and follow strict rules of sanitation and garbage collection.
The Minster also called on the officials to expedite the work on various developmental projects. The Minister was informed that the work on the prestigious Beehama-Nagbal road is underway and acquisitions will start soon in the first phase. It was also revealed that the issues related to approach road to Bus Adda also stands resolved and the work is in full swing to complete the approach road for early completion of Bus Adda.
The Deputy Commissioner informed the Minister that 69 percent of the allotted money under plan funds have been spent in Ganderbal.
