Ganderbal 20 April :A family of ten members had a miraculous escape after a Chinar branches fell on their residential house at watlar village of Ganderbal district.
Owing to heavy rains a Chinar branches came crashing down on the house of Ghulam Nabi Bhat near MM Hospital Watlar all the ten family members were inside the house during wee hours.
The branches of tree crushed the roof and front side of the single storied brick house, resulting in loss to the house.
“Amid heavy rains and strong winds, we were sleeping after Sehri time when suddenly we heard a big bang which shook our house and we ran for safety.
Moments later we saw a Chinar branches had fallen on our house damaging it badly.
Fortunately all the family members escaped unhurt,” said Gh.Nabi owner of the house.
He claimed that he had many times requested authorities to cut branches of the tree, fearing they might cause any untoward incident during windy conditions.
