Scores of students of Islamic University of Science and Technology and Government Degree College Bemina staged a
protest demonstration against the killing of slain Lashkar commander Naveed Jatt in Budgam on Wednesday.
Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that students raised pro-
independence and anti-India slogans and marched through
the campus of Islamic University. In Srinagar’s Bemina Degree College, The students also pelted
stones on the forces.
However, the witnesses said, the government forces did not retaliate to the protesting students.
Meanwhile, reports said that as the news about the killing of top militant commander Naveed Jatt reached Pampore, the shopkeepers downed their shutters.
