SRINAGAR: A newborn baby boy was found dead in Kenihama area of Nowgam in Srinagar outskirts on Tuesday afternoon.
Reports reaching Asian News Hub (ANH) said that locals found a dead body of an abandoned newborn baby near Railway track, Gundbal Kenihama, this afternoon, after which police were informed.
They said that police recovered the body of baby boy and shifted to CHC Chattergam for medico-legal formalities.
Local sources said that prima facie seems the baby had been abandoned after the birth.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident and started investigations, reports added.
