News about busting of hideout in Budgam fake, baseless: Police;Budgam polices rebuts KNT, reports KNO
Say strict action will be taken against those posting ‘unconfirmed’ news
Budgam, June 08: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday said that the news about busting of a hideout at Pethzanigam area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district was fake and strict action will be taken against those posting such unconfirmed news.
Since Monday morning a news was being circulated on social media handles that one person has been detained and a hideout has also been busted by Budgam police at Pethzanigam area of Beerwah.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the police, however, refuted the claims and said that a fake news with regard to a hideout having been busted and OGW arrested by forces in district Budgam is doing rounds on social media.
“The news is refuted by Budgam Police as no such hideout has been busted/person arrested in district Budgam. Strict action under law shall be taken against people posting unconfirmed news on self styled News Networks.”
