Srinagar, November 27:(GNS) A Nocturnal gunfight rages between militants and goverment forces in Redwani area of Qaimoh in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday.
Reports reaching GNS said that a joint team of army’s 1RR, CRPF and SOG cordoned off Redwani.
While the forces intensified searches towards suspected house the hiding militants fired upon goverment forces triggering an gunfight.
A senior Police official told GNS that that contact has been established with the hiding militants after having credible input about presence of some militants in the area.
As per sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped.
As this report was filed intermittent firing was going on. (GNS)
