Be it a shooting for films or an extended family vacation, Kashmir has always been one of the most sought-after destinations. Artists’ belonging to various institution often visits Kashmir for their grand marriage ceremonies and other functions.

This year Kashmir witnessed many grand events from Bollywood, and this time it is a Bollywood actress and model Pooja Batra and actor Nawab Shah who tied the knot in Kashmir, media reports claimed. However, the exact location of the function was not revealed by the news portal.

According to a report by SpotboyE– a Bollywood news portal, the couple exchanged the wedding vows days back but there was no official statement on this, however, their pictures posted on social media hints about their wedding.

Nawab earlier shared a video on Instagram and captioned it; “A story you can make a movie on”. In the video, we can see Pooja’s hand adorned with traditional red Choodha- a dress woman wears after marriage.

It wasn’t that long ago when the buzz of Pooja and Shah dating each other started doing rounds on social media. The couple often dropped hints on Instagram, but social media users spotted it when Nawab shared a beautiful picture on the occasion of Eid this year and captioned it, “It took 46 years for my soul to be Ready, and then my mate appeared. Eid Mubarak soulmate. Eid Mubarak to all.”

Batra who was a finalist in Femina Miss India International in 1993, tied the knot in 2002 with a US-based orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Sonu S Ahluwalia. Post her wedding, the actress shifted her base to Los Angeles but ended up with the divorce in 2011.

The news portal quoted Batra’s closest friend Kashmera Shah- a Bollywood actress saying; “I wish her all the happiness in the world. If anyone in this world deserves to be happy it is Pooja. I am so so so thrilled. Nawab, welcome to the family.”

It is pertinent to mention here, the breathtaking scenery of the valley has always been the muses of several writers and much has been written about them.

Despite the years of conflict, the valley has always been a warm tourist attraction and also cherished by renowned filmmakers of the world. Equally popular amidst domestic and foreign tourists, Kashmir is an enthralling combination of pristine valleys, snow-clad peaks, crystal-clear lakes, high mountain passes, perennial glaciers, and various pilgrimage sites.
