Beerwha 16 JAN:At least 10 villages compromising thousands of souls crying the deficiency of doctors at the NTPHC Chewdara Beerwha area of central Kashmir Budgam
Locals say only a pharmacist turns the PHC. The lack of staff has severely compromised the patient care at the health center. Even patients having minor accidental injuries couldn’t get first aid instantly needed due to lack of basic amenities of health care.
The locals are questioning the status of the health center and they are also accusing successive regimes for ignoring the health center which can catre huge population.
According to locals dozens of villages in the adjacent of Chewdara area are up in arms against the higher authorities of health and family welfare as the NTPHC Chewdara lacks basic facilities. They alleged that two posts of doctors were vacant from last few months in which health center are forced to shift their patients to other hospitals
There is a dearth of staff due to which the local residents of various adjoining areas face difficulties. They said to news agency the concerned health officers have not visited here so for despite the complaints were made by the village heads about the shortage of doctors and other problems.
