Jammu, Apr 05 (KNO): Since the fight on Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary Seat is getting tough with both the two major parties Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and Congress party putting their best foot forward to seek votes from the people, the ruling party is not letting anything to go waste to win this seat.
Two most important star campaigners of BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be addressing rallies in Udhampur and Kathua on April 12 and April 10.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), UP CM had no time to leave his state unattended and visit Jammu and Kashmir. “But it was on the insistence of BJP candidate from this seat and Minister of State in PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh that he agreed to visit Kathua and address a rally,” a source within BJP told KNO.
After PM Modi, Yogi is considered the upcoming face of BJP and he is famous among people for his pro-Hindutva stance and since the Ram Mandir was built in Ayodhya, his image among the Hindu devotees has improved manifolds. The BJP candidate wanted him to visit Kathua, from where the Congress candidate Choudhary Lal Singh hails from, and get people on his side.
Yogi’s Kathua visit will also be important as it can fall on Eid-ul-Fitr and holding a rally on that day will send a message to voters where the party stands.
“The main purpose of bringing Yogi to J&K is that he is a crowd puller and he has his own following in this union territory as well. Dr. Jitendra Singh wants to avail every opportunity to get the people of Kathua and Udhampur on his side,” the source added.
Moreover, since the Ram Mandir was thrown open to the public, thousands of devotees from the Jammu region have visited the temple and have praised the Yogi government’s facilities there—(KNO)
