2017:- To review the progress made for making District Ganderbal Open Defecation Free under Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, N.A Baba convened a meeting in his office chamber here today.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Ganderbal District Panchayat Officer Ganderbal, BDO’s and various other officers.
During the meeting Action Plan for the SBM for the year 2017-18 involving the construction of individual House Hold Latrines (IHHL) was targeted and prioritized. ADDC directed the concerned to implement action plan within the stipulated time period.
The concerned officers apprised the ADDC about the activities, programmes and other IEC campaigns initiated by the various departments under SBM with the help of local people.
He exhorted upon the officers to work with missionary spirit so that the aim of the Open Defecation Free District is achieved within the time line. ADDC asked the officers to introduce innovative techniques for disposing the waste materials. He directed them to utilize all funds in a proper way focusing on health and hygiene of the people.
