Wildlife official says duo chased away towards forest area

Bandipora, Nov 07 : Panic gripped Malangam village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora on Sunday after two black bears were spotted in residential area, locals said here.
Locals told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that two bears were spotted in Malangam this morning, leading to hue and cry in the area as they entered residential area.
“The wild animals were roaming in Malangam village and its adjoining areas since last many days,” they said.
They said that the villagers have now moved to safer places and they also informed the Wildlife department and concerned police station for necessary action.
Meanwhile, an official of the wildlife department told KNS that a team of department along with the police reached to the spot soon after being informed by the locals.
He said that the duo was chased away towards the forest area by the team of wildlife department and the police and the villagers need not to panic anymore.
