Accuses organization hatching conspiracies against people of the state

Srinagar 31 August: Reacting sharply to self styled Kashmiri Pandit Organization president Ashwani Kumar Chrangoo’s demand to abrogate Article 370 and 35-A from Indian constitution, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed has said that organizations like ‘Panun Kashmmir’ do not represent the sentiments of Kashmiri Pandith Community. In a statement issued today Er. Rasheed said that Mr. Chrangoo should apologize for his meaningless, irresponsible and anti-state remarks and needs to read the history to understand the significance of Article 35-A or Article 370. He said “The claim that these Articles have strengthened separatism and terrorism in Kashmir don’t even deserve a response but just to set record straight, one must understand that Article 35-A benefits and safeguards interests of people of the state as a whole and not those of any particular community or region. By opposing Article 35-A Mr Chungoo and sick minded people of his nature have got exposed and they don’t even have a right to be called as Kashmiris. It is the people with such biased and communal intention for whom the migration of Kashmiri Pandits has become an industry and they never want any resolution to political issues”. Er. Rasheed added that majority of the Kashmiri Pandits not only want special status of state to be protected but also the resolution to the long pending dispute, so that people in the entire region live with peace and honor. He accused Mr. Chungoo and many like him of hatching conspiracies against the interests of state and misleading people of India for their vested interests.
