Ganderbal July 30【KNZ】:Scores of PDD daily wagers today protest against the department for delaying process of forwarding list of daily wagers who have served the department for more then seven years to Higher Authorities for regularisation.
The protesters threatened to immolate themselves if their demands are not full filed on time.
The Protesters allege that the officials of he department are deliberately withholding lists of daily rated employees who deserve to be regularised only to adjust blue-eyed undeserved casual labourers.
President of PDD casual labourers union Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad said, “Regular employees of the sub-division are creating hurdles in submission of casual labourers list to higher authorities for regularisation.They have vested interested in doing so.”
“From last eight years we are working as casual labourers. Nearly ten employees have been handicapped while working in Ganderbal sub- division,we only demand our right .goverment is apathaitic towards us.”
The Protesters demanded that Nearly 700 casual employees in The Sub -division transmission Ganderbal should be forwarded to higher authorities on fast track bases.
The protesters also appeled governor to intervene into the matter.KNZ
