Srinagar, October 16[KNZ] : A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) activist was killed after fired upon by unknown gunmen in Imamsahab area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday evening.
A police officer told Kashmir Glory that the suspected militants fired upon Mohammad Ramzan Sheikh (50) near his residence at Huomhuna, Imamsahab at around 8:05 pm. “The gunmen took Sheikh outside his house and shot him from point blank range”.
Sheikh, a Halqa President of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was shifted to nearby Zainpora Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead,” he said.

Meanwhile, Army, Special Operation Group of Police and CRPF cordoned off the area and launched a hunt to nab the suspected militants.
