March 09: Plantation drive held by Bandipora Police and IRP-20th Bn.Bandipora Police launched a plantation drive at DPL Bandipora. The drive was launched by SSP Bandipora in which other senior officers and jawans of the district participated.Speaking on the occasion, Shri Rahul Malik-IPS, SSP Bandipora said that such plantation drives will continue in the other police establishments of Bandipora Police in the coming days to promote scenic beauty in addition to conservation of environment.
Similarly, IRP-20th Bn also launched a plantation drive in collaboration with Social Forestry Division at Armed Police Complex Parihaspora. The drive was launched by Shri Baqar Samoon-JKPS, CO IRP 20th Bn and was attended by Commandants of IRP 9th Bn, IRP 21st Bn & other officers of Armed Police.The main aim of this initiative is to promote greenery in Police establishments as a part of larger sustainable ecological development. The preservation of our ecology assumes importance so as to stabilize our ecosystem in order to preserve the ecological diversity within it.
