Budgam, Oct 26 : Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police in Budgam have arrested 02 drug peddlers and recovered contraband/psychotropic substance from their possession.
A Police party of PS Beerwah during naka checking, arrested two drug peddlers carrying a nylon bag. During search, 02 sticks of Charas weighing about 100 grams and cash was recovered from their possession.
They have been identified as Nazir Ahmed Shah son of Late Gh Nabi Shah and Danish Rashid Shah son of Ab Rashid Shah, both residents of Pati Sail Kanigund.
They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No 116/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Beerwah and investigation has been initiated.
