Sopore April 11: Continuing its drive against social crimes, police have arrested 02 gamblers in Sopore and seized stake money from their possession.
A police party of Police Station Tarzoo headed by SHO PS Tarzoo under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri. Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS apprehended 02 gamblers at Playground Tarzoo & recovered stake money of ₹2910/- & playing cards from their possession. They have been identified as Ghulam Hassan Rather son of Ghulam Nabi Rather resident of Kunder Mohalla Tarzoo and Abdul Ahad Malla son of Ghulam Mohammad Malla resident of Ningli Bala Sopore.
They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 26/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tarzoo and further investigation has been taken up.
People found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
