Srinagar, December 26:Anantnag police apprehended a burglar and recovered some stolen mobile phones from his possession.
On 24 December 2017 some attendants of patients from District Hospital Anantnag lodged a written complaint that one unknown person stole some mobile phones of attendants from District Hospital Anantnag. On this information a case FIR NO 319/2017 under section 380 RPC was registered at police station Anantnag and the investigation of the case was taken up.
During the course of investigation, several suspects were rounded up and strenuous efforts were made to nab the culprit. Meanwhile, one suspect namely Owais Nabi Sofi son of Ghulam Nabi sofi
resident of Deva Colony, Janglatmandi Anantnag confessed to the crime. The arrest and recovery was made by incharge police post Janglatmandi Masroor Ahmad under the supervision of SSP Anantnag Altaf Ahmad Khan.
