Sopore, Aug 27 (KNO): Police on Friday said that it arrested an owner of a news portal in Sopore, who is a resident of Rafiabad area of northern district of Baramulla.
A Police spokesperson in a statement to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that Police Station Dangiwacha received an order from the court for lodging a case against the owner of a news portal Shahid Imran, and his colleague.
“On this, a case under FIR number 145/2021 under sections 384, 385, 506 (1) 420 and 120B IPC, was registered in Police Station Dangiwacha,” the police spokesman said.
He said that during course of investigation one accused, resident of Bagh Islam Baramulla was arrested on Thursday and today the owner of the news portal was formally arrested. “Further investigation is going on,” the police spokesman said—(KNO)
