Strict action would continue against Drug menace:SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar

Ganderbal 05 June (KNZ):To put an end to the use and spread of Drug Menace, Ganderbal Police is making consistent efforts by way of enforcement operations.
According to reports said that, on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS under the supervision of DySP Hqr’s Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS, special Police team led by SHO PS Lar Gulzar Ahmad held a person & registered an FIR against him for cultivating Opium Poppy plants in his orchards at Gorpora. The said person disclosed his identity as; Ghulam Hassan Wani S/O Ghulam Ahmad Wani R/O Gorpora, Yangoora Ganderbal.
The Contraband Substance recovered was seized in presence of Ist Class Magistrate Lar.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 41/2023, U/S 8/18 NDPS Act was registered at PS Lar & investigation has been taken up.
General Public has applauded & appreciated the Swift action of Ganderbal Police in eradicating Drug menace from the society. Ganderbal Police requests general public not to fall prey of harmful Contraband substances & avoid its cultivation in fields.KNZ
