November 25: To enhance sense of community and to restrain further spread of Coronavirus, Police distributed face masks among the general public throughout the district Ganderbal. Besides, while acting tough against the violators of Covid-19 guidelines, 1706 violators were fined across the district.
The drive was initiated on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS. During the drive, Police distributed face masks among the general public throughout the district Ganderbal.
Police have realized fine to the tune of ₹2,52,840/- from 1706 violators in district Ganderbal for violating the various guidelines/rules/SOPs regarding Covid-19 within one week.
General public were informed about the necessity of Covid-19 guidelines/instructions. They were given sensitized about maintaining proper hygiene, social distancing and wearing of face masks. Besides, they were also advised to follow Covid-19 SOPs regularly to avoid serge in Covid cases.
Community members has appreciated and applauded the role of Police in rendering such services to the general public.
