Kulgam November 06: In its ongoing process to address the grievances of general public and to identify issues and collaboratively develop solutions that improve police community relation, improve public safety by strengthening trust, police in Kulgam on the directions of SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS held PCPG meetings at Police Station Qazigund, PS Yaripora, PS Manzgam, PS Devsar, Police Post Neehama, PP Frisal and PP Mirbazar.
These meetings were chaired by respective jurisdictional officers and were attended by respectable citizens of Qazigund, Nussu Badragund, YK Pora, Pahloo, Devsar, Yaripora, Badroo, Manzgam, Neehama, Malpora and Mirbazar areas of Kulgam.
While speaking on these occasions, participants appreciated the process of organising such events by the police department in which an opportunity is being provided to highlight the prevailing issues of the society like drug abuse, domestic violence, speedy justice etc and seek their redressal for the betterment of all. The officers present at these meetings gave patient hearing to their issues and assured them that their issues which are pertaining to other departments will be taken up immediately with the concerned officers for appropriate action besides issues related to Police will be resolved on priority.
While addressing the participants, chairing officers urged upon in strengthening the Police public relations and also cooperate in eradicating all types of crime from the society so that a peaceful and crime free atmosphere is created in these areas. The officers have also requested upon providing the information to police about smuggling of drugs and other illegal activities if any noticed for initiating appropriate action against the offenders.
