Srinagar, Aug 24: Police on Thursday foiled the scheduled press conference of the Democratic Freedom Party Office (DFP) at its Sanat Nagar headquarters and arrested party’s secretary general Moulana Abdullah Tari.
It is pertinent to mention here that senior resistance leader and chairman DFP Shabir Ahmad Shah was on Wednesday attacked by inmates in Patiala Court police lockup.
He is kept among notorious criminals in Delhi’s Tihar Jail where choicest abuses are showered upon him. He is also receiving life threats and denied every basic facility including medicines.
Party had called for a media briefing in this regard which has now been delayed due to police action.
DFP has strongly condemned the police action and said the state administration is creating impediments in conveying the truth to people
