Pulwama Nov 12: In order to redress the grievances & review the welfare measures, Police in Pulwama held a meeting with retired police personnel (PROANG) at DPL Pulwama. The meeting was chaired by SSP Pulwama Shri Ghulam Jeelani Wani-JKPS and attended by 108 retired officers/officials.
At the outset of the meeting, SSP Pulwama welcomed and thanked the participants for attending the meeting. He assured them that police is always at their disposal. Further they were assured that they are still part of Police Organization and they can approach any Police Officer or Police Unit at any time to redress their grievances/problems.
Moreover, the chairing officer also reiterated that retirees are always welcome for their valuable suggestions and there is great respect for them in the Police Organization as they have rendered a long service and strived hard to earn a name for the organization. He also added that various measures are being taken by the Police Department for the welfare of retired police personnel and their wards. Besides, as a token of respect and for well-being of retirees, various gifts which include blankets, Blood Pressure monitoring apparatus & Sugar measuring kits were distributed among them.
The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks and with the assurance that such meetings will be held in future also to redress the grievances of the retirees.
