Srinagar, February 14: As part of ongoing Civic Action Programme, (04) water hand pumps were installed in the Villages of Reshi Mohalla, Malla Mohalla of village Diver, Wani Mohalla of village Yakhman Pora and Kanisoth Colony Singpora falling in the vicinity of Armed Police Complex Parihaspora under Civic Action Programme (CAP). These water pumps were installed on the request of general public of these areas as the area is drought prone and there is acute water scarcity.
The inauguration of these pumps was held by Shri Baqar Samoon-SSP, Commandant IRP-20th Battalion accompanied by Shri Sandeep Wazir, SSP Commandant IRP-9th Bn., Dr. Salau-ud-din Choudhary, SSP Dy.CO IRP-3rd Bn., Shri Mushtaq Ahmad, SSP Dy.CO IRP-20th Bn., Shri Amit Baseen, SSP Dy.CO IRP-9th Bn., Shri Nissar Hussain, Dy.SP Adjutant IRP-20th Bn in presence of respectable citizens and people of adjacent villages.
The villagers highlighted several problems being faced by them like construction of roads, by-lanes, drainage & street lights etc. and they were assured that their problems shall be brought to the notice of higher Police/concerned civil authorities.
The villagers appreciated and thanked for such activity in their area. Shri Baqar Samoon-SSP highlighted the role of Police department in promoting Police Public Relations.
