Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday refute a report being circulated by some elements through social media titled “New youth joined HM militant outfit.”
In a statement a spokesman said, District police administration Kulgam has clarified that Hilal Ahmad Wani alias Maaz son of Mohammad Akram Wani resident of Machwa has joined HM militant outfit on 14-07-2015 .
“He has done 10+2 and had later on joined Physiotherapy Technician Course in Jammu which he had left after joining the militant ranks,” spokesman said.
Police has taken a serious note of the “rumour mongers and strict action will be taken against them,” he said.
