Poonch, Jan 24 : Police on Monday registered a case under relevant sections against a man after his wife filed a complaint alleging demand of dowry by him.
A police official told GNS that a written complaint was received from a woman (name withheld), a resident of Balakote area of Mendhar sub-division in Poonch district mentioning therein that her husband has been demanding for dowry besides harassing her mentally and physically.
A case vide FIR number 08/2022 under sections 498A/109/504/506 IPC has been registered in this regard, the official said.
Confirming it, SHO Mendhar Manzoor Kohli told GNS that a party has been dispatched to nab the accused. (GNS)
