November 08: Police in Baramulla have seized 13 vehicles for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
Police party of PS Baramulla under the supervision of SDPO Tangmarg Shri Hilal Khaliq-JKPS alongwith Geology & Mining Department seized 13 vehicles (8 Tippers, 4 Tractors and 01 JCB) for illegal extractions & transportation of minerals at Lolpora & Karaham Kunzer area of District Baramulla.
Police requests the people not to indulge in any kind of illegal mining activities from any Nallah as it is the violation of Government rules. Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
