Ganderbal 16 Dec (KNZ):With an aim to reach every nook and corner of the India and initially attracting customers by its offers, some villages in Kashmir still wait to get nerwork to become a part of India’s fast growing telecom network.

In one such case, the company has failed to provide network in the Dal Colony Nunner area of Ganderbal district which irks the customers due to poor network and no data service in the area, however, people in the area hope to get a new tower installed soon.

Complaining about its poor network and no data service in the area, many subscribers like Jio, Airtel and BSNL said that the area, a model village and pilgrimage site attracting scores of people every day.

“When the network was launched in Kashmir, I borrowed a connection standing in a long queue for hours because of its bumper offers and at the same time they promised that its network will be strengthened in every part of Kashmir,” Wasima a subscriber from the Dal Colony area of Nunner pursuing BSC at GDC Ganderbal told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ

The subscribers of these private telecommunications told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ that they are facing immense problems due to erratic calling and internet services for last several years in area.

“We are unable to contact our nears and dears as every time we dial the number, the network comes either busy, switched off, number does not exist or shows not network coverage,” said aggrieved residents adding that due to poor network call drops happen frequently.

People of these areas said the problem exists due to lack of adequate mobile towers in these areas and demanded installation of more towers in these areas.

These villages are about 6-8 kms away from main town Ganderbal.

Meanwhile,They appealed concerned authorities to look into the matter.(KNZ)
