Ganderbal 04 Nov【KNZ】:The only primary Health center for fourteen thousands people of Safapora is lacking basic Adequate facilities.All though the PHC has well built building but sans equipment and medicinal facilities which are necessary for a a PHC .
Local residents said,”There is not a single surgeon at emergency services. Due to the which patients suffer a lot.”
“Uncertain power cuts ,lack of first aids further add to our suffering”
He added
Local residents said they have to ravel long distance to Sumbal or Ganderbal hospitals for treatments which makes them suffer especially during night hours.”
Medical officer Abdul Majeed said, “Concern is genuine, go to any hospital in rural Kashmir, there is a beeline of people. The demand and provision of services has increased over the years, but due to the human resource crunch, the quality of service is bound to suffer.”
He further added that still they are approaching for some life saving drugs and equipments from the higher authorities that will be provided soon.”
Dr Ishtiyaq the Block medical officer said, “We have taken such issues in our consideration. At earliest , these certain issues will be resolved in upcoming month,”
