GANDERBAL, JUNE l3: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today convened a meeting of officers from line departments including PDD, Irrigation and Jal Shakti departments and asked them to prioritize public importance works in the district.
During the meeting, the DC reviewed the physical and financial progress on the projects which are under execution in the district.
While reviewing the progress department wise, the DC also exhorted for prioritizing such works/projects which can generate more man days so that more workers/labours are engaged and could earn their livelihood who have most suffered due to lockdown amid Coronavirus.
While engaging workers, he directed the concerned officers to strictly follow the guidelines related to COVID-19 like wearing face masks during work, maintaining social distance, use sanitizers and frequent hand washing.
The DC stressed upon the concerned agencies to monitor the execution of ongoing works in the district by way of frequent field visits. He also sought cooperation among all departments for changing the developmental scenario of the district.
Among others, ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmed Baba, ACR Ganderbal ,SE PDD, SE R&B ,DYSP HQ Ganderbal and other concerned district officers attended the meeting.
