Srinagar, Nov 30, CNS: Jammu Kashmir Bank employees continue to hit to roads demanding rollback of the recent SAC decision to turn the bank into a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).
From past couple of days, civil society, traders, industrialists, bank employees and even political parties are carrying protest marches against the Governor Administration decision to convert Jammu Kashmir Bank into a Public Sector Undertaking.
On Friday scores of the employees assembled outside the Zonal Headquarters of the Bank at M A road and raised slogans in favour of their demand. The protesting employees were carrying placards and banners which read; “’Roll Back SAC decision’ and “J&K Bank is a wonderful institution, let it remain wonderful,” demanded the revocation of the order passed by the State Administrative Council (SAC).
“The decision is aimed to crush economy of Kashmir and to attack the financial autonomy of this institution which is the only profitable institution of the State of Jammu and Kashmir,” said a protesting employee to news agency CNS.
The threatened to hit to roads on daily basis if the decision taken by SAC is not revoked. (CNS)
