Pulwama, Nov 5: Consequent upon a reliable information from a reliable source a special team headed by Dy SP Headquarters Pulwama Shri S M Shafi-JKPS under the directions of SSP Pulwama Shri Gh Jeelani Wani-JKPS, raided one place in Prichoo Pulwama and recovered 13 bottles of NDPS contraband from the possession of one person namely Imran Sheikh S/O Ab Ahad Sheikh R/O Alamdar colony Prichoo Pulwama. On his instant disclosure he revealed that he has nexus with one more person who was coming to handover one more consignment of NDPS contraband to him, so accordingly police team laid naka near Boys Degree college Pulwama and seized one grand i10 vehicle which was being driven by Gowhar Ahmad Najar S/O Farooq Ahmad Najar R/O Pinglina from whose possession 11 bottles of codeine , 1700 tablets of contrabanded drugs were seized besides cash amounting Rs 80000/- INR. During further course of investigation two more persons namely Aijaz Ahmad Bhat @Mehdi S/O Gh Hassan Bhat R/O Pinglina and Javid Ahmad Dar S/O Bashir R/O Tahab Pulwama, have been arrested. Further arrests are expected and all links and threads are being analysed minutely to nab the culprits who are involved in the conspiracy.
Case FIR No 302/2021, U/Secs. 8/21, 22 and 29 of NDPS Act stands lodged at Police Station Pulwama and a SIT has been constituted to investigate the case thoroughly. SIT shall work under the close Supervision of Dy SP Headquarters Pulwama.
