Srinagar, Dec 28 (KS): The Jammu and Kashmir Police in Pulwama have refuted reports of the alleged chasing of a PDP worker leading to the cancellation of a party meeting in Kasbayaar Shadimarg area in Pulwama.
“A distorted misinformation is being spread by some mischievous elements on social media platforms that Police in Rajpora has chased a PDP worker in Kasbayaar Shadimarg today, leading to the cancellation of a scheduled PDP meeting in the village etc”, said a police spokesman in a statement issued to news agency Kashmir Scroll.
“The said information is distorted and quite false, the local organisers have only been conveyed by Police to seek prior permission from DM Pulwama for an organised public meeting at a public place”, reads the statement.
“People are requested not to spread false information”, reads the statement further. (KS)
