Rajouri.Mar 27,KNT: Rajouri police had received a complaint by one Kulsum Akhtar, resident of Gakhrote stating that her ATM card was fraudulently replaced/ swapped by a person. Based on this, FIR No 143/2021 U/S 420 IPC was registered at PS Rajouri.
As investigation was set in motion, the accused person was identified as one Faizan Ali, son of Shoket Ali, resident of Chandak, Poonch, at present Ward no. 2 Rajouri and has been arrested. Based on his disclosure, 7 ATM cards and cash were recovered from his possession.
Investigation has revealed that the accused used to identify unsuspecting ATM users and would replace their cards while pretending to assist them.(KNT)
