63 road schemes approved for Ganderbal this year,59 schemes completed so far:Executive Engineer R&B Tatheer Manzoor

Ganderbal 07 Sep (KNZ):In order to provide better road connectivity in Ganderbal District,R&B Department has macadamised 93 kilometres of road length this year sofar
Executive Engineer R&B Ganderbal Tathheer Manzoor talking to Kashmir News Zone-KNZ,said that the macadamisation work of the various roads has started across Ganderbal District from last 3 months and we have been completed almost 95% of blacktopping in the whole district.
He said 63 road schemes comprising 107 kms length have already been taken up, of which 93 kms have already been completed so far.
Under Pot holes,C&T and UT sector,57 road Schemes comprising of 85 kms have been taken up of which 80 kms have been achieved so far.
Under NABARD,5 road Schemes comprising of 25 kms have been taken up of which 20 kms have been achieved so far.
He said our department has already pressed men and machinery into service to macadamise the roads in Ganderbal District from last 3 month
All rough patches of various roads has covered in pot holes Scheme. This will provide respite to the commuters.
He also said keeping in view the limited weather season,remaining roads for blacktopping will taking next year under different schemes.
He further said that providing road connectivity to far flung areas is my priority and already existing roads to be macadamized.KNZ
