Team of Sarpanchs visit Patanjali Campus at Haridwar

KARGIL FEBRUARY 03, 2021: As part of the exposure visit for PRI members of Ladakh organized by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj UT Ladakh, the team of Sarpanchs from Ladakh visited Patanjali Campus at Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
41 Sarpanchs from Leh and Kargil districts had departed to Uttarakhand for 5 days tour under capacity building which aims to provide first hand exposure to the Sarpanchs by taking them on the visit to various successful Gram Panchayats in the hilly state of Uttarakhand.
During course of the tour, the Sarpanchs are also being given an intensive five days class room training through interactive sessions and lectures while field visits will focus on success stories under solid waste management, Gram Panchayat Planning, integration of different tiers of Panchayati Raj institutions and good governance at PRI level, budgeting and accounting of PRI finances on PFMS and other related aspects.
Pertinently, the tour was inaugurated by the LG Ladakh R K Mathur on 1st February 2021 through video conferencing.
