KULGAM 09 Feb【KNZ】:A remote village of district Kulgam namely  Waltangoo naard has no electricity, the government has covered this village under the scheme of Gramine Vidyet  Youjna Scheme(GVYS) in 2015 in which the poles, wires and electric transformer was established but unfortunately still people are waiting for electricity.

According to an ex panch of this locality Mohd shafi chahchi that during the first day when this transformer was established during the night hours it was disappeared from the village,People alleged that no government employee of power development department has reached to this  village , on the day when we heard that transformer has been established here we were happy and celebrated the day with doll and singing traditional songs in favour of employees of pdd department who were present there.

The dream of these people did not came true to see electricity in these modern days as per sheer Mohd chachi we celebrated the day with doll dufflas when the electric transformer was established in our village in the year 2015 but unfortunately during the night hours the transformer was disappeared from the established spot and we were in deep Shock and no government employee of the department visited the area and still we r waiting for electricity from decades now people are using the wires of HT and LT lines for drying the clothes in winter

Worth to mention that Waltangoo Naad is located in the palm of foot hills of mighty mountains of Peer Panjal range in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district were more than 250 died in year 2005 after an avalanche hit the area.

When Kashmir News Zone Correspondent Contacted Dc Kulgam Mr Talat Parvaiz he said that this scheme falls under Grameen Vidith Youjna scheme(GVYS) and I have taken note of that by written a letter to superintendent engineer for submitting a report here in two days and action will be taken after that.
