BANDIPORA, JANUARY 12: To ensure smooth conduct of Republic Day function, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sumbal, Dr Bashir Lone, today convened a meeting of all concerned officers to review the arrangement put in place for the smooth conduct of the republic day celebrations.
The meeting was attended by District Information Officer Bandipora Jahangeer Akhoon, SDPO Sumbal/Hajin, Executive Engineer/AEE R&B Division Sumbal, Executive Engineer, MID Shadipora, Executive Engineer, I&FC Sumbal, officers of Army and CRPF and other senior officers of the Sub-Division.
Speaking on the occasion, the SDM stressed upon the officers to ensure hassle free arrangements for smooth conduct of the said National Event and instructed them to follow the timeline for ensuring arrangements well in advance. He also directed them to follow protocol of COVID-19 strictly and ensure use of masks in the function.
The meeting discussed Security arrangements and it was informed that the main function of the Republic Day will start with Shahnai Vadan at the venue-R&B Guest House, Irrigation Colony Sumbal- where National Flag will be hoisted and the VIP will take salute on the March Past comprising the contingents of JKP, JKAP, lIRP and CRPF.
. SDM directed the SDPO Sumbal to make necessary security arrangements in collaboration with 13RR and 45th Bn CRPF within and outside the venue as per procedure besides providing necessary contingents for parade on the occasion. Executive Engineer R&B Division and Municipal Committee Sumbal was directed to make arrangements of stage, Seating/Heating arrangement for guests/officers and also ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of the venue.
The PDD and PHE departments were directed to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply besides the Health department was ordered to deploy doctors and paramedics along with Ambulance and first aid at the venue.
