Ganderbal: Republic Day 2021 was celebrated in District Ganderbal with great fervor wherein tricolor was unfurled at each Police Station / Police establishment and main function was held at Police Qamariya Stadium, Ganderbal in which Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shri Shafkat Iqbal-KAS, as chief guest unfurled the National Flag and inspected the Parade.
SSP GAnderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS, Additional Deputy commissioner Fayaz Ahmad Baba, Additional SP Ganderbal, DySP HQRS Ganderbal, DySP PC Ganderbal besides other senior officers of civil administration/ Police Department and Para military were present on the occasion.
The parade was commanded by DySP DAR Ganderbal Shri Umar Rashid -JKPS.
The march past was presented by the Contingent of CRPF, SSB, BSF, District Police Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police, Fire services Ganderbal, SPOs, Home Guard and contingents of students from various schools.
Besides, colorful cultural programmes were presented and awards were given to the best performers by the chief guest.
Good number of people witnessed the function as elaborate security arrangement were made by the District Police Ganderbal in this behalf.
