Srinagar, Jan 22 (KS): A retired army soldier was killed after a vehicle he was traveling in met with an accident at Kewal area in Rajouri district on Monday evening.
An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that an Eco car bearing number JK11E 6204 driven by one Shaukat Ali, son of Alam Din, of Gabbar Budhal, Kotranka met with an accident on reaching Old Panchayat at Kewal area, leaving the driver injured critically.
“The injured person was lifted from the site and shifted to PHC Budhal from where he was referred to GMC Rajouri, where he succumbed later on”, the official said.
“The deceased was a retired army soldier”, the official said adding the Police has taken cognisance of the matter for investigations. (KS)
