Srinagar, June 26:(KNZ) Police on Tuesday said that unknown persons barged into the J&K Bank branch in Pinjoora village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district and tried to snatch rifle from the guard posted there.
However the guard resist the snatching attempt after being sprayed with Chill powder.
SSP Shopian Shalender told GNS that some unknown men broke into the bank and sprayed chili powder into the eyes of a guard and tried to snatch his rifle.
There was a scuffle between guard and unidentified persons however guard resisted the rifle snatching attempt. And meantime those persons fled from the spot, he said.
Soon after the incident a manhunt was launched in the area to nab the attackers.
