Ganderbal 27 April (KNZ):On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shyambir Singh today Sub-divisional magistrate Kangan Javaid Ahmad distributed emergency food packets for stranded passengers at Mammer and adjoining areas of Kangan.
SDM Kangan said zojila road was closed for vehicular traffic due to fresh snowfall and avalanches hit various places at Zojila in Ganderbal District
He said that food packets are being distributed to the stranded passengers and drivers.
SDM Kangan urged the passengers to contact the Traffic Police and Police Control Rooms before embarking on their journeys on Srinagar leh Highway especially during inclement weather conditions besides following traffic advisories issued by the Traffic Police Department.
District administration Ganderbal also accomodate Passengers especially women and Children who are stucked at Sonamarg due to closure of SSG road from last 10 days at youth hostel Sonamarg last night.KNZ
